Grateful for the pause in the run for the future – day 16

Hi friends,

Hope you all are feeling great today.

These are the days that make us believe in living life in the present, to take one day at a time and to live that day to the fullest.

Very often, we are so much consumed thinking about our future that we forget our present and end up not enjoying the small moments of happiness, that we even miss noticing.

I agree that it is very important to plan for a secure future, but look at the situation now. We all made plans, we all made goals, we all made resolutions.

But nature had a different plan in store for us. It made us stop and think about the way we were living our lives. It put a pause on our plans so that we are able to value the simple and free things in life, that we often take for granted.

Yes, new plans will be made to achieve the goals, but this time,

we will consider pausing every now and then to enjoy the special moments with family and friends;

we will consider enjoying our lives and building a healthy lifestyle instead of ignoring it;

we will consider appreciating the services done by others, the inter-dependency of the people on each other and the availability of things around us;

We will consider the world as one large family and believe in peace and harmony;

We will value the resources provided by nature and do our best to reduce waste and live in harmony with nature.

So today,

I am grateful for this realisation that I need to be present in the present to be able to enjoy the small moments of joy and happiness.

I am grateful to be living in this era where we are going to see a huge shift in our consciousness and the way we choose to live our lives.

I am grateful for the health and well-being of everyone.

I am grateful to be able to make better plans for a secure future and at the same time live a full life in the present.

I am grateful for everything that our planet has been providing us with, to live our lives.

What are you grateful for, today?

Love,

Rashmi
