Grateful for good neighbors – day 17

Hi friends,

How are you all doing today? I am doing good as usual.

These days everybody being at home, the days seem to go faster. I am sure we all have a common prayer – to be free from this pandemic and to be able to lead our normal lives.

While talking to my mother back home today, I asked her if she had all the groceries and vegetables stocked up.

She said that she had the groceries. About vegetables she said that the people living in their building shared the vegetables they had in their farms or homes. Whatever they got they shared with each other.

Likewise, the watchman was staying in the building itself since it was lockdown. Every flat owner was providing him with the meals so that he didn’t have to worry about his food.

Few years back, when I was in a city where riots had broken out, I remember the men of the building patrolling at night around the building to ensure the safety of everyone in the building.

Such difficult times bring humanity together. Whatever ego clashes are there, they are usually forgotten for the higher good of all.

After the pandemic crisis are over, I am sure that the people in our building and such similar other places would have come closer to each other and would live like one big family.

So today,

I am grateful for the power of humanity to help each other at the time of crisis.

I am grateful that my parents have got good neighbors who are ready to help each other.

I am grateful for the lessons learnt from such crisis situation.

I am grateful that our real human nature of caring and sharing atleast surfaces during the times of such crisis. (I hope it happens all the time irrespective of the situation that we are in).
